Hey there, Patriot writers! We had our first meeting today and I was amazed by how many people attended today. I hope all of you continue to come. :)

In case you missed anything because my voice isn’t very loud (or you just weren’t paying attention…) I’m going to recap everything for you in just a few easy bullets.

• We went over the new superiority system of the newspaper. Basically, anyone who attends meetings regularly and writes at least one article per issue will be considered a contributing writer. Eventually, contributing writers can apply to become assistant editors and then maybe someday become editors! Yay!
• We ask that you attend meetings regularly and hand your articles in on time. We are planning an appreciation dinner for the end of the school year. Those of you who meet the standards set will have the opportunity to win awards, as well as climb the ranks of the club.
• PLEASE! email us your information (name, phone number, ID number, email address) for the club roster. The email address is thepatriotnewspaper@gmail.com. If I do not receive your information, I will not be able to contact you and you won’t know what’s going on. That’s bad!
• Everyone was supposed to talk to their editor about their sections. Expect emails from editors regularly to discuss the upcoming issue.
